Our Review

Paul and Kat Molnar arrived in Australia in 1988, 10 years after they were married in their native Hungary. For the next 10 years they lived and worked in Pemberton, Paul as a fine woodcraft and furniture maker, Kat working in local vineyards. In 1998 they moved once again, this time to a tiny property in the Huon Valley where they planted predominantly pinot noir, some chardonnay and a thoroughly esoteric mix of baco noir, gamay, pinot gris, gewurztraminer and siegerrebe. Pinot and chardonnay are their main production; the other varieties have been blended into a red wine called Tiger Blood, and a white with the dubious name of Possum Piss. -JAMES HALLIDAY
