The vineyard is on one of the original land grants in the Beechworth region, planted by James and Janine McLaurin in 1996, mainly to chardonnay, shiraz (in 2013 grafted to chardonnay), cabernet sauvignon, merlot and malbec, with lesser plantings of petit verdot, sagrantino and savagnin. The Lineage Vineyard was planted in 2008 to shiraz, followed by lesser plantings of petit verdot, sagrantino and savagnin. The wines are aged in one-third new French oak, the remainder 2-4 years old. The low yields result in intensely flavoured wines, which are found in a Who's Who of Melbourne's best restaurants and a handful of local and Melbourne retailers. Unfortunately wines were not received for the 2020 Wine Companion, the winery rating has been retained. Exports to Singapore and China.
