The Original Vineyard is on one of the original land grants in the Beechworth region, planted by James McLaurin in 1996, mainly to chardonnay, shiraz (in 2013 grafted to chardonnay), cabernet sauvignon, merlot and malbec, with lesser plantings of petit verdot, sagrantino and savagnin. The Lineage Vineyard was planted in 2008 to shiraz, followed by lesser plantings of petit verdot, sagrantino and savagnin. No insecticides are used, only copper, sulphur, milk and oil as foilage sprays. The wines are aged in one-third new French oak, the remainder 2-4 years old. The low yields result in intensely flavoured wines, which are found in a Who's Who of Melbourne's best restaurants and a handful of local and Melbourne retailers. Exports to Singapore and China.
