Janet Cockbill and Nicholas Clark are multi-talented. Both are archaeologists, but Janet is a multi-tasking genius, combining archaeology, radiography, organic viticulture and wrangling their two small sons. Nicholas studied viticulture at CSU, and both he and Janet worked vintage at Michel Chapoutiers biodynamic Domaine des Bates in Provence in 2001. Plantings include lagrein and carmenere. In 2012 Janet (aged 43) and Nicholas (aged 54) were presented with a surprise baby girl, who arrived prematurely. Chaos has been restored, but they are limited to a subsistence living with their winemaking, only releasing one wine a year. Taking a leaf from JJ Prum, the level of SO2 is deliberately high to guarantee the long life ahead of the wine.
