Russell and Jan McGlashan began the establishment of their vineyard in 1996. Chardonnay (6ha) and pinot noir (4ha) make up the bulk of the plantings, the remainder shiraz and pinot gris (1ha each). The wines are made by Robin Brockett, with his usual skill and attention to detail. The cellar door offers food and music, with four cottages offering vineyard accommodation.
McGlashans Wallington Estate is located in the heart of the Bellarine Peninsula. 10 hectares of vines including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Pinot Gris and Shiraz are planted in sandy loam over buckshot clay soils.
Gourmet platters are a speciality featuring local seafood and other local produce.
The cellar door is quirky and features outdoor games along with maritime and automotive memorabilia.
