Robin Brockett Wines

James' Review

Robin Brockett is chief winemaker at Scotchmans Hill, a position he has held for over 30 years, making consistently very good wines through the ebbs and flows of climate. In 2013 he took the first steps towards the realisation of a 35-year dream of making and selling wines under his own label. He put in place an agreement to buy grapes from the Fenwick (2ha) and Swinburne (1ha) Vineyards, and in '13 made the first wine, venturing into the unknown with the Amphora Syrah. In '16 he made Pinots from each of the two vineyards, and a Fenwick Shiraz, but left it until January '16 to come out, as it were, announcing the business and the wines available for sale.
