Mount Langi Ghiran

Victoria | Grampians

Our Review

Mount Langi Ghiran produces outstanding shiraz, crammed with flavour and vinosity, that has long pointed the way for cool-climate examples of the variety. New shiraz plantings are propagated in Mount Langi Ghiran’s nursery from the Old Block, planted in '69 with a pre-phylloxera clone. The business was acquired by the Rathbone family group (owners of Yering Station and Xanadu) in ’02. Winemaker Adam Louder, born and bred in the Grampians, joined in ’16, having previously worked in Bordeaux and Napa Valley, as well as at sister winery Xanadu. The quality of wine here is exemplary. -HALLIDAY TEAM
