Significant changes have transformed Willow Creek over the past decade. In 2008, winemaker Geraldine McFaul, with many years of winemaking in the Mornington Peninsula under her belt, was appointed, and worked with viticulturist Robbie O'Leary to focus on minimal intervention in the winery; in other words, to produce grapes in perfect condition. In '13 the Li family arrived from China and expanded its portfolio of hotel and resort properties in Australia by purchasing Willow Creek, developing the luxury 46-room Jackalope Hotel, the Rare Hare and Doot Doot Doot restaurants, a cocktail bar and tasting room.
Willow Creek Vineyard is open 7 days for tastings in their barrel room and lunch or dinner at Rare Hare Wine a Food Store, where guests enjoy panoramic vineyard views and wood fired food. while a new vineyard restaurant and luxury hotel is built beside the vineyard.
Geraldine McFaul has made Willow Creek Vineyard wines since 2008 and is assisted by Ant Davenport in the vineyard. We aim to produce wines of elegance and finesse. Winemaker: Geraldine McFaul Viticulturist: Anthony Davenport
