Berrigan Wines

South Australia | Adelaide Hills

Our Review

Berrigan Wines began in '02 in WA’s Swan District, where the Berrigan family, headed by Thomas John Berrigan, planted verdelho, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Thomas stopped making wines in '06; in '15, son Dan Berrigan and partner Wendi decided to bring the family brand name back to life. The duo started out with 8ha in Mount Benson, on the Limestone Coast, before purchasing the 15ha Shining Rock Vineyard (planted by Brian Croser in '00) in the Adelaide Hills in '20. The low-yielding site supplies shiraz, sangiovese and grüner veltliner, with merlot, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc sourced from Mount Benson. -HALLIDAY TEAM
