Australia’s longest-running traditional wine and food festival, Clare Valley SCA Gourmet Week, is returning for its 38th year. Running from the 13–22 of May, it is a showcase of the region, offering award-winning wine, local produce, heritage landmarks and a quintessentially Australian landscape.
Over its 10 days, the festival will host more than 40 immersive, educational, and experiential events in collaboration with over 30 wineries and restaurants. Celebrate the region with wine and food masterclasses, pop-up restaurants and food trucks, live music, preserving workshops, sunrise walks, garden parties, picnics, high tea, markets and more.
With the full event listings to be release later this month, you can expect to enjoy lunch at the renowned Skillogalee Restaurant, take an art masterclass at the historic Sevenhill Cellars, attend a wine blending workshop or see the valley with a wine and wilderness hike, then finish the day dining under the stars at Eldredge Vineyards.
The Clare Valley SCA Gourmet Week will return for 10 days in May.
The jammed-packed week will conclude with the inaugural Land of the Long Lunch. A program highlight, the lunch will take place in unique locations and well-loved venues across the valley.
Spokesperson Belinda Heinrich says: “The Clare Valley SCA Gourmet Week is an iconic regional celebration...as the oldest continuously running food and wine festival in Australia, the event celebrates the very best that the Clare Valley has to offer."
Visitors are encouraged to jump on a bus from Adelaide and stay for the weekend, and be sure to organise a group itinerary to enjoy as much of the festival as possible. Accommodation options and shuttle buses will be available throughout the event.
