Our Review
Steve Ashley planted his vineyard with the help of friends and family in 1997, with 3 ha of shiraz and 0.75 ha each of merlot and cabernet sauvignon. It is situated at the very southern (and coolest) end of the Heathcote region, with picking usually in late April. The quality of the grapes, and the skill of Llew Knight as contract winemaker, has been reflected in the track record of the wines in wine shows. -JAMES HALLIDAY
