The American owner and founder of Clos du Val (Napa Valley), Taltarni and Clover Hill (see separate entry) has brought the management of these three businesses and Domaine de Nizas (Languedoc) under the one roof, the group known as Goelet Wine Estates. Taltarni is the largest of the Australian ventures, its estate vineyards of great value and underpinning the substantial annual production. Insectariums are established in permanent vegetation corridors, each containing around 2000 native plants that provide a pollen and nectar source for the beneficial insects, reducing the need for chemicals and other controls of the vineyards. In recent years Taltarni has updated its winemaking techniques, and in 2017 celebrated 40 years of winemaking. Exports to all major markets.
Established in 1969, Taltarni Vineyards is one of the pioneering wineries of Victoria's Pyrenees, dedicated to making exceptional wines from the unique terroir of the region. Taltarni Vineyard and Winery was founded on the principles of individuality, independence and expression. Combining old-world traditions with innovative new-world techniques, Taltarni produces a diverse range of high-calibre still red and white wines, and methode-traditionnelle crafted sparkling wines. The diversity of Taltarni’s portfolio ensures that there’s a perfect Taltarni wine for the key moments in life.
