Yalumba celebrates the release of the 2016 vintage of its iconic wine, The Caley Cabernet & Shiraz.

Australia’s oldest family-owned winery Yalumba celebrates the launch of the 2016 vintage of its iconic wine, The Caley Cabernet & Shiraz (RRP $365). Entering its fifth vintage, The Caley was first launched with the 2012 and marks the label’s first foray into the luxury wine market.

A claret style, this latest release is a blend of 71 per cent Coonawarra cabernet and 29 per cent Barossa shiraz and is built not only to drink now, but also to cellar to 2036 and beyond.

We sat down with Yalumba winemaker Kevin Glastonbury ahead of the wine’s release to taste and chat about this latest vintage. Watch the full chat below.
